I don't have time to wait. All must be working together. I have waste too much time waiting. Some people told me, buy time, it's not expensive, it's priceless.

Many worker good for speed, but your project manager must be almost perfect. He need to be very alert and act fast if he find something wrong. If not, you will loose your hard earn money, to do the job it again. My project manager always seen on site

First thing first. Floor hacking must be completed first. Wall hacking for wiring can be left behind

My contractor work day and night. You are a star !!!!

Having a halt for a few weeks giving me plenty of time to organise with the contractor. It's like getting ready for a 100 metres male running sea games event, we just need a starting gun to blow.

Once we got the approval, we just go with the plan. My contractor is working until late at night. There are many problems as we go along as plan is only good on paper, but most of the problem was already anticipated during the plan period. These unexacting changes of plan can make everyone easily lost control. That is why you need to choose your contractor carefully. Alhamdulillah, WAHISMA is very patient and have a high tolerance in dealing with it. I highly recommended them for any of your future renovation work. But they are not alone. They work with other contractors like aircond, carpentry, electrician, network, CCTV and dental supplier.

Hacking all the floor and wall takes 1 day, plumbing, CCTV and network 2 days, aircond installation about 2 weeks, wiring and fixing about 3 weeks, because they need to start early but finish their job after the ceiling and wall completed. One more things to consider is you need to get ready with all the material needed during each step. I think you need to get ready with the materials in the construction area at least 1 day ahead hu hu hu

My suggestion during this stage is you need to start with wiring, plumbing, and aircond at the same time and at the same speed. Your progress really depends on their speed before you can start with the next step, which is wall and ceiling. The aircond installation run a bit slow, it's kind of a dragging to slow down the other works.

Bear in mind, that you really need to be there at least once a day just because, you are the one who really knows your workspace and flow. You need to feel happy and comfortable with your new practise. The contractor don't have the same feeling with you and they will be gone the moment they hand over the unit to you for your next journey

Opening a dental office in Malaysia Part 7

Today, I received a letter from UKAPS, allowing me to do the renovation work.

I installed a banner outside my clinic. The banner was prepared by Dzulkarnain, +60133685099. I strongly recommended him for marketing work. He works fast and the quality is good.

Bear in mind, visibility and signage is not an important thing if you want to start your own practise. So don't spend too much on it

Make sure you choose a good contractor WHO HAVE THE ABILITY TO LISTEN TO YOUR REQUEST, IT'S EASIER FOR YOU, THAN THE ONE WHO DON'T. We normally can smell the difficulties, while we discussing our plan. Get rid of a difficult contractor as soon as you feel uneasy to deal with. I then gave the floor plan to my contractor to do the needful

They will mark the floor, together with my dental supplier. At this stage, I also invited the wireman, plumber, aircond man, network personnel to come and give their ideas and thought. We have to solve the problem if any, before we start hammering the building. It's hard to work with so many peoples with different background, but if you can manage it, the result is you can have your clinic ready to serve your patient, faster.

My first attempt to submit the docs needed to UKAPS was on 1st August 2017. I don't have a copy of my degree and need to complete everything before I can submit to get the approval to do the renovation. 

After one month today, I'm still waiting for the copy of my degree from my university. Luckily, MDC provide what I needed. Aina from UKAPS give me a date for the submission. It's on Friday, 8th September 2017. Thank you again Aina, for letting me submit the documents earlier. You are a star. So yesterday, Wednesday, 6th Sept 2017, two days earlier from the set appointment, I went to UKAPS and passed all documents to her. In Shaa Allah, according to her, I will receive an approval letter to do the renovation by email from her in few days. 

I have postponed the opening of my clinic due to this small problem. I hope I can start to open my door to my gorgeous community next month. It all depend on how soon my lovely contractor, WAHIBSMA (+60105112989), can complete the job and I get  "Borang C" from Health Department to allow me to start my business. 

Seeing the progress is amazing moment. But you really need to be patient. I'm preparing myself getting ready to become a "project manager". Wish me luck 

Slowly moving

Today is my third month working in a new dental practice. Alhamdulillah, Allah gave me the same income with half working days and 1/6 of journey time from my previous dental practise. My new boss giving me more opportunity to grow and develop my creativity. Thank you boss. With the power of controlling your mind gift by Allah swt to every human, you can proof that you can achieved what you want in life. Happy journey everyone.
